BBK-V2 offers unsurpassed high-speed processing capabilities on theVMEbus as a main or supplementary processor for diverse applications suchas industrial control, image processing, graphics, and simulation. It mayalso serve as a preprocessing bus bridge for parallel supercomputingnetworks.Multimaster capability allows simultaneous operation with additional BBK-V2 modules, or with conventional CPUs on the VMEbus. Four high-speedcommunication channels of 20 Mbits each connect the board to other systemelements.BBK-V2 contains a T805 processor with 1 MB or 2 MB of dual-ported memory,accessible by other VME processors or DMA devices. VME systems of 16 and32 bits are fully supported using a double Eurocard to provide 15 MIPSand 2.2 MFLOPS, respectively. Transputer access to the VMEbus can be 8-,16-, or 32-bits wide. Extensive interrupt-generating and handlingfacilities works with all kinds of applications. A 1-MB onboard EPROMsupports VME systems without mass storage.
